We created a stakeholder engagement roadmap to support the launch of a neuro-rare disease pipeline for a new entrant to the rare disease space

Client Challenge

Our client needed to understand the best practices for engaging stakeholders in neuro-rare disease to optimise payer decision-making

The client, with no prior experience in rare disease assets, had recently acquired several and aimed to position themselves as a leader in the neuro-rare space. However, their market access team lacked the
expertise needed to successfully launch rare disease treatments and optimise PRMA outcomes

The client needed to understand:

  • Optimal engagement methods, objectives, channels and timing
  • The best practices for varying disease epidemiology, unmet medical need and payer awareness

P4A Solution

We employed a 3-tiered approach

  1. P4A conducted an analogue analysis to identify best practices in stakeholder engagement, as well as common pitfalls manufacturers face when engaging, or failing to engage, key stakeholders
  2. P4A conducted an in-person workshop with the client to share insights and understand their standard practices, ensuring the smooth integration of learnings from the analogue analysis into their evolving best practices
  3. A thorough and interactive neuro-rare stakeholder engagement roadmap was developedaccording to the client’s specificationss

The Successful Outcome

P4A delivered a comprehensive analogue analysis and stakeholder engagement roadmap, including:

  • EU4 + UK market-specific considerations
  • Detailed steps for executing engagement activities
  • Developed disease-specific stakeholder interactions
  • Outlined the dos and don’ts for each engagement activity
